Your village Adventure Starts Here
Where to Start
At the heart of the Rosebud adventure is Rosebud Theatre, Alberta's only rural professional theatre. Performances are staged at the Opera House and Studio Stage by an acting company made up of resident ensemble members, student apprentices (from Rosebud School of the Arts) and guest artists from around the world. Guests of the theatre are also treated to a delicious buffet and live music in the historic Mercantile Dining Room.
What is in Rosebud?
You won't find a gas station or an ATM, but you will find The Thorny Rose Cafe, several gift shops and galleries. The scenic nine-hole executive Akokiniskway Golf Course offers a challenging game and the happiest campground around. The Rosebud Centennial Museum, once the local Chinese laundry for hundreds of miners in the valley in the 1920s, displays artifacts and photographs of pioneer life. Go inside and you can pick up a walking tour guide that features 12 stops around the hamlet to explore its history.
So much more...
